Hari ke 110: Penduduk Green Cow dapat injunksi sementara henti kerja pemaju

Hari ini, di Mahkahmah Tinggi Kuantan, penduduk berjaya mendapat injunksi-interim (sementara) untuk memberhentikan kerja-kerja pemaju LTT Development di Green Cow, Cameron Highlands. Penduduk Green Cow telah diwakili oleh peguam Yudistra. Perbicaraan dijalankan di dalam kamar hakim. Semua penduduk & penyokong yang hadir di Mahkahmah Tinggi Kuantan gembira sedikit dengan keputusan hakim. 

"Walaupun kami juga dihalang memasuki kawasan projek, tetapi pemaju juga dihalang mengangkut tanah atau menggunakan jentolak sehingga 9 Oktober 2012. Kami gembira sedikit, namun kami berharap mahkahmah dapat mengambil perhatian mengenai keselamatan penduduk dan kemusnahan alam sekitar di Green Cow", kata Marapan Sangadoo, seorang penduduk di Green Cow.

Kerja-kerja pemaju LTT Development telah membahayak nyawa lebih kurang 10 keluarga di situ. Kerja-kerja pemaju juga menyebabkan kemusnahan alam sekitar di kawasan itu. Turut hadir di mahkahmah ialah P.Siva (PSM Cameron), V.Vijayan (PSM Pahang), Huzir Sulaiman (PAS Pahang) and Lee Chean Chung (PKR Indera Mahkota). Turut hadir untuk memberi sokongan ialah wakil Himpunan Hijau.Penduduk juga sedang mengutip derma untuk mengisi Tabung Perjuangan Green Cow.

Day 110: Green Cowb Residents obtained temporary stop work injunctionagainst developers

Today, at the Kuantan High Court, Green Cow residents managed to get an interim-injunction (temporary) to stop the developerLTT Development at Green Cow, Cameron Highlands. Green Cow residents were represented by counsel Yudistra. The trial took place in chambers. All residents & supporters present at the Kuantan High Court are a little happy with the judge's decision.

"While we were also barred from entering the project area, but the judge also prevented the developers from transporting any soil oruse any bulldozers until 9 October 2012. We were a little happy, but we hope the court would be able to take note of the resident'ssafety and environmental degradation in the Green Cow," said Marapan Sangadoo, a resident from Green Cow.

LTT's work endangered the life of about 10 family living there. Developers work also caused environmental damage in the area. Also present in the court today were P.Siva (PSM Cameron), V.Vijayan (PSM Pahang), Huzir Sulaiman (PAS Pahang) and Lee Chean Chung (PKR Indera Mahkota). Also were some supporters from Himpunan Hijau.

Green Cow residents are also collecting donations to fill Green Cow Struggle Fund.
